At Padworth College, we’re committed to nurturing the next generation of medical professionals through our specialised programs tailored to aspiring doctors, dentists, nurses, and medical professionals. With a proven track record of placing students into prestigious medical and related degree programs, we offer a comprehensive pathway to success.

Our Approach

Through a combination of GCSEs, A-Levels, the NCUK International Foundation Year, and our renowned assistance through the Medical School Preparation Programme, Padworth College equips students with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to secure coveted spots at top UK medical schools.

Expert Guidance

Led by experienced tutors who are experts in their fields, our Medical School Preparation Programme boasts an impressive 50% acceptance rate for medical school admissions in 2024, with this figure continuing to rise with offers. Our tutors provide personalised guidance and support throughout the Medical School application process, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.

Key Benefits

Our Medical School Preparation Programme offers a range of benefits, including:

  • Interview preparation and mock interviews with leading industry experts, for both traditional interviews and multi mini-interviews.
  • Individual support to prepare for university admissions tests.
  • Weekly medical sessions, designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of what a medical career involves and the opportunity to discuss medical ethics and current medical issues.
  • Small class sizes, allowing Padworth College to tailor our support package to each individual student.
  • Our Medical Society Club, which is a student-led club under the supervision of Science Teacher, Joe Mattocks.
  • Dedicated lecture series, with visiting speakers, medical professionals and admissions experts delivering a series of engaging lectures.
  • Dedicated staff who will provide advice and assistance to students while they write their personal medical statements.
  • Peer mentoring, our Year 12 students are paired with a Year 13 student at the start of the year. This mentoring programme allows students to share their knowledge, practice interviews together and provide peer support during the application process.
  • Debate series on current topics in medicine, adding to the depth of discussion students can provide during their interview process.

Experiential Learning

Beyond the classroom, we offer students opportunities to engage directly with universities and medical professionals. From university visits to UCAS Discovery Days, our students gain first-hand insights into the medical field and receive valuable guidance from admissions teams.

Comprehensive Support

Our dedicated UCAS Co-Ordinator, Lewis Hutchinson, supports Padworth College students by providing them with excellent careers information, advice, and guidance to improve students’ skills, knowledge and understanding for their future career planning and university applications. This advice starts from early in Year 12 when we ask students to consider their career options and tailor their individual learning programme and goals from there.

Take the Next Step

To help support those students who are academically curious and driven, we are thrilled to offer Academic Scholarships of up to 75% off tuition. For more information on our Academic Scholarship offerings, please head to our scholarships page here.
