EAL Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a full-time or part-time English as an Additional Language (‘EAL’) Teacher to deliver a range of English language courses onsite to students aged from 14 to 19 years old.  This is a full-time position, effective September 2023.

We require a degree level qualification and a CELTA or equivalent qualification as minimum.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate good organisational skills, precision in lesson planning and confident, enthusiastic classroom delivery.  Experience of teaching Cambridge English exams is desirable, as is experience of working in a busy department where expectations of both students and teachers are high.

Teacher of Mathematics

We are seeking a graduate to teach IGCSE and A Level and NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) Mathematics. NQTs are welcome to apply.

Padworth College exists to develop outstanding people, in a community of belonging, achieving personal excellence.  We are an inclusive, welcoming independent college, with a high proportion of international students.  We require an additional Mathematics teacher to add to our teaching staff.  Student numbers are increasing and so the department is expanding.

The key duties/responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide high quality teaching to create a vibrant culture for learning.
  • Ensure all students are able to thrive and achieve personal excellence.
  • Plan and execute a diverse programme that meets individual students needs within Mathematics.
  • Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students.
  • Ensure a high-quality learning experience for students, which meets both internal and external quality standards.
  • Prepare and regularly update subject materials.
  • Use a variety of delivery methods, which will stimulate learning appropriate to student needs and demands of the syllabus.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with college procedures, and encourage good practice regarding punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and independent learning.
  • Support and motivate students to allow them to grow and enhance their own skills.
  • Ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for students.

Housekeeper
