We are delighted to be partnering with UK Education Guide to offer the inaugural UK Universities Tour during the May Half Term holiday (27 May to 4 June 2023). The Tour is open to all international students aged 16+ years, enrolled in boarding schools in the UK, but will be of particular benefit to those students in Years 11 and 12 who are now starting to explore options for higher education.
The Tour will visit some of the highest ranked and most prestigious universities in the UK, including University of Cambridge Imperial College London University of Southampton University of Reading and St George’s, University of London Each visit will include a campus tour and information about the university and its admissions process from a university representative and/or current undergraduate student, plus lunch. All visits will be hosted by a Director from UK Education Guide.
Whilst the focus of this first UK Universities Tour is to highlight opportunities to pursue STEM subjects at undergraduate degree level, general information and workshops will also be offered, benefitting all. Above all, the Tour will provide inspiration and insight for students who are now actively investigating their university options for entry in September 2024 entry and beyond.
Students will be accommodated at Padworth College with pastoral care provided by members of the College’s boarding team. Over the course of the week, UK Education Guide will be offering a series of 5 voluntary workshops providing 1:1 advice about university and course selection; guidance on writing a compelling Personal Statement; perspectives on exploring the difference in style of learning at school and university; and advice on how best to prepare for university.
The workshops will also include videos produced by Russell Group universities exploring the workshop themes.
The UK Universities Tour costs £1,599 + VAT. The cost includes bed, breakfast and evening meals at Padworth College, with lunch provided by each university or at Padworth. Accommodation will be in single occupancy rooms with access to all the communal areas of the College. A maximum of 20 places are available
