We are delighted with today’s GCSE results and would like to congratulate our students, who have shown a high level of maturity and resilience throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.  Despite the challenges that this academic year has presented, the GCSE results have shown the adaptability of our Year 11 student cohort to new learning environments.

Commenting on the results, Lorraine Atkins, Principal said: “We are delighted that 38% of the GCSE results are Grades 9 to 7, which is a superb reflection of the students’ efforts.  During the last academic year, the new management team at Padworth College has supported students with a range of new learning strategies, which have paid dividends in the form of focused target setting by the academic staff.  We are delighted that these methods have resulted in a significantly improved set of GCSE results.”

Special congratulations to local student, Jessica, for an outstanding individual performance.  Jessica achieved 10 GCSE passes, eight at the top Grade 9 and two at Grade 8.
