Registration Fee – International Students

A non-refundable Registration Fee of £350 is payable upon acceptance of a place at the College.

Deposit – International Student

The Deposit is paid in the first year only, upon entry into Padworth College. It is held on the student’s account and refunded (without interest) after the student has left school, less any outstanding fees or charges.

Fees include:

• Academic enrichment through our co-curricular programme.
• The Extended Project Qualification (optional) for students enrolled in Years 12 and 13.
• Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE).
• Sports.
• Preparation for entry into top universities, including the Medical School Preparation Programme, plus guidance and support from our University and Careers Adviser.

Fees for boarding students include:

• Evening activities.
• International, healthy and balanced cuisine by top caterers (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
• College-wide weekend trips and excursions (e.g. Hampton Court, Bath Christmas markets).

The Principal, Director of Studies and House Parents reside on campus and are available 24/7. Medical care is available through the boarding team, as well as the local doctor’s surgery.

The College’s school and boarding facilities are closed during the Winter, Spring and Summer school breaks as well as the Half Term breaks. We do not have exeat weekends, as our boarding philosophy is to embrace boarding students as part of our family and to provide continuity in our educational provision.

Fees do NOT include:

• Study Materials.
• Text books, including e-books.
• Specialised study materials (e.g., art), stationery.
• Exam fees (I/GSCE, A Levels, IELTS etc.).
• UCAS Application Fees.
• Extra 1:1 tuition.
• IELTS tuition.
• Additional I/GCSE subject (for students enrolled in Years 12 and 13).
• Mother-Tongue/Language Programme.
• Optional specialist academic trips and excursions (e.g., Geneva).
• Student visa.
• Guardianship.
• Medical insurance and travel insurance.
• Pocket money.
• Optional weekend trips and excursions (e.g., cinema, Harry Potter World).

1: 1 Tuition

1:1 tuition is available upon request and ranges from £45 to £60 per hour.

Additional I/GCSE Subject

Students in Years 12 and 13 can pursue an additional I/GCSE subject, with fees of £1,250 per term.

Student Visas

International students require a Child Student or Student Visa to enter and live in the United Kingdom. We require every visa application, first time as well as renewal applications, to go through our chosen immigration specialists, Newland Chase Education. Upon completion of the admissions process, we will issue the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) letter and all visa supporting documents required to apply for the Child Student or Student Visa. The Processing Fee for the service provided by Newland Chase Education is included in the Registration Fee of £350.

In addition to the Processing Fee, it costs £348 to apply for a Child Student or Student Visa from outside the United Kingdom. Further details can be found at https://www.gov.uk/child-study-visa and https://www.gov.uk/student-visa

International students are also required to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge of £470 per year for the duration of the period that their visa is granted. The Immigration Health Surcharge must be paid before the visa application is submitted.

Sibling Discount

Sibling remission is applied as follows, and only when siblings are enrolled at Padworth College at the same time:

When 2 siblings are enrolled at Padworth:

• 10% discount applied to termly fees only for the older child.
• 0% discount applied to the younger child.

When 3 siblings are enrolled at Padworth:

• 10% discount applied to termly fees only for the older child.
• 5% discount applied to termly fees only for the middle child.
• 0% discount applied to the younger child.

The Registration Fee of £350 is payable for each sibling.

Weekly Boarding

Weekly boarding is available upon request. Occasional boarding is available upon request and is subject to availability:

• Whole Week: 7 nights.
• School Week: 5 nights.
• Weekend: 2 nights.
• School Day: 1 night.

Music Programme

Reflecting our vibrant school community, we appreciate a rich variety of different music genres. We offer instrumental lessons for individuals or small groups. Popular choices include vocal training, piano, violin and guitar. The programme is bookable on a termly basis (9 lessons of 30 minutes each). Mother-Tongue/Language Programme

Students at Padworth College have a diverse cultural and linguistic background. At school the language of instruction is English, it is nonetheless the school’s mission to encourage and support students and their families to maintain and improve their native languages as well as interest in other foreign languages.
