Padworth College is celebrating this year’s Year 13 graduating students, who yesterday saw the culmination of two years of hard work and achieved an impressive set of A Level results.

Overall, 53% of grades awarded were A*-B, while 23% of all grades achieved were A*-A grade.

Commenting on the results, Lorraine Atkins, Principal remarked: “We are delighted with the strong performance of Padworth College students in the first year of traditional A Level examinations since 2019.  This year’s results at Padworth are much closer to our 2021 results than our 2019 results, with 53% of grades awarded being A*-B, highlighting the strong performance by our students. The Senior Leadership Team at the College could not be prouder of these results and it reflects the resilience of the students and fantastic support of the teaching, boarding and support staff at the College during the Covid-19 pandemic.  The students have worked extremely hard and remained focused throughout their studies.

Over the next few days, our Year 13 students will be finalising their university choices.  With many of the cohort securing places at Russell Group universities, they have some exciting opportunities ahead.  A special mention to Danel from Kazakhstan (AAA) who has been offered a place at Imperial College London to study Biological Sciences and Jessica from the UK (A*AA) who has been offered a place at Cardiff University to study Mechanical Engineering.

We wish all of our Year 13 cohort every success at their chosen universities.
