How we make our lessons

Original practice. Clear explanations. Honest limits.

Every activity needs a purpose.

Each question focuses on an identifiable reading or language skill. An answer explanation should show the evidence or grammatical reason, not simply restate the answer. Reading passages and examples on this site are original.

Reference points.

Our explanations use standard English grammar conventions. Useful external references include the British Council LearnEnglish grammar reference and Cambridge Dictionary English Grammar Today. The exercises and reading passages here are original; these organisations have not reviewed or endorsed them.

Accuracy before volume.

Questions need enough context to distinguish their answers. Where more than one form is possible, the explanation should acknowledge it. A polished interface does not replace careful language review.

Levels and assessment.

B1 and B2 labels indicate intended practice difficulty. The materials have not undergone formal CEFR validation and do not provide a certified level, exam grade or qualification. Writing activities support self-review rather than automatic authoritative grading.

Using the level labels.

Choose a lesson that stretches your understanding without making every sentence difficult. B1 and B2 labels guide practice; they are not independently certified assessments or endorsements.
