Celebrating Individuality

Individuality is celebrated through our highly differentiated learning approach.  Students are encouraged to be who they are, develop their own personality and explore their strengths and weaknesses.  Our policy of no school uniform is part of this vision.

We create an atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage actively in what they are learning and to be reflective and creative in their thinking. Our approach to learning is enquiry-based and interactive.  Students and teachers are seen as equal partners in the quest for learning – participation, engagement and enjoyment are key!

Each student follows his or her own individual and unique programme of learning, determined not by age, but where each student is in terms of their knowledge.  It is a flexible system that aims at challenging on the one hand and supporting on the other.  Students are not tied into a particular level for a pre-determined amount of time, acknowledging that we are different and all learn at different rates.  Central to this is the development of each individual’s potential.

At Padworth, students benefit from small class sizes.  There is a strong expectation that our students are here to work, to achieve their potential and to become broadly educated as a preparation for university and life.  Our students are challenged, supported and guided so that they develop a clear sense of purpose and direction for the future.

Students are steered towards taking responsibility for themselves, their community and their learning on the path to adulthood.  Becoming a citizen of the world in the true sense of the word is the goal.

Are you Padworth? If you are a unique individual and open–minded global citizen, we are the right school for you.
