In the 2020/21 academic year, Padworth College is offering Academic Scholarships to exceptional students enrolling in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 in September 2020 and to those students enrolling on the 18 month A Level Programme in January 2021.
Scholarships will normally only be awarded to those students enrolling for more than 18 months (i.e., those students joining Year 12 in January), although we will also award scholarships to exceptional students enrolling on the 1 Year IGCSE Programme in Year 11. For those enrolling in Years 9, 10 or 11, the scholarship award will end upon the completion of Year 11. Students are then able to apply for a new scholarship for Year 12 entry.
Scholarships apply to our published fees and are worth up to 50% of the overall fees. Scholarships are offered to registered students on the basis of the applicant’s School Reports, Character Reference and performance in a Skype or face-to-face interview and an English and Maths assessment, invigilated under exam conditions in the student’s home country. Non-native English speakers must have English Level IELTS 5.5 for entry into Year 12.
Bursaries are granted in recognition that there are some parents, or even markets, where the College‘s programmes are either unaffordable or the fees represent a significant burden. The College would like to support some families faced with such challenging financial circumstances to ensure that their child is able to receive the benefits of a British education. Parents in this position are welcome to apply for Bursary assistance.
Bursaries are assessed on the basis of a means-tested assessment relating to the family’s ability to pay and are awarded by Padworth Educational Trust Ltd on behalf of the College.
The College will normally award Scholarships and Bursaries, but reserves the right not to do so, if in the opinion of the Principal or the Directors, there is not a suitable candidate.
