The Sixth form students have maintained consistently high standards in this year’s A Level results – 67% of exam entries were awarded A* – B grades, and 82% achieved A*- C. The top A* grade was awarded to 20% of the exam entries. Of particular note were local Day student, James Horn who achieved 4 A* grades, Kapnie Umana from Nigeria with 1 A and 3 A* grades and Kiki Lam from Hong Kong who achieved 2 A*, 1 A and 1 B grades.
These results mean that many of our students have achieved their first choice of university including places for Medicine at East Anglia, Management at Manchester and Finance & Investment Banking at Reading. The University Access (Foundation in Business) students have also been successful in gaining places at Royal Holloway, Aston and Cardiff.
The Year 11 students achieved good results in the GCSE level examinations – 69% of all entries achieved A* – C grades and 49% achieved A* – B grades. The overall pass rate was 97%.
