A Brief Pen Portrait: Tom Arrand
Tom was educated at Durham School and Oxford University. As a student, he played rugby for the university U21 squad, cricket and hockey for his college and performed in a number of plays and choral concerts. A natural next step was into education, following a PGCE at Cambridge University.
Tom has taught at some of the UK’s leading independent schools and was a Head of Department and Boarding Housemaster at Colston’s School, Bristol, before becoming Deputy Head in Monmouth. Outside of work, he loves the great outdoors, music and sport and is a keen photographer. He has a passion for educational theories and is drawn towards Padworth’s unique focus on individuality and global citizenship.
