Exams & Qualifications
All ISC students study English appropriate to their age and ability and where appropriate, are entered for the following University of Cambridge English Language examinations which are widely recognized around the world for work and study purposes.
PET (Preliminary English Test)
An intermediate level exam, testing a student's ability to cope with everyday written and spoken communications.
FCE (First Certificate in English)
An upper intermediate level exam - ideal for students who can deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
IELTS scores are recognised by British universities and colleges who will set a minimum level as an entrance qualification.
IGSCE English as a Second Language (ESL)
IGCSE in English as a Second Language is designed primarily as a qualification either for candidates obtaining their secondary education through English as a medium of instruction, or studying English in order to enhance their future educational or employment prospects.
Students are prepared for this IGCSE examination as a university entrance qualification unless they qualify as native speakers of the English Language.
