We assess all applicants on the basis of their school reports, qualifications achieved and the recommendation from their current Headteacher. Wherever possible, students will be invited for interview with the Principal in person or using Skype.

For A Level study, 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above or equivalent are required and for international students, an IELTS level of 5.0 or above.  Our International Study Centre provides 1, 2 or 3 term pre-A level English and academic preparation courses for students who need to improve their level of English prior to commencing academic study.

For Non-EU students only

We assess every applicant’s level of English as part of the application process.  For students under 18, we require applicants to take our English test under supervised conditions.  Students over 18 must provide evidence that they have achieved CEFR Level B2 or above in a UKBA approved English Language qualification.  Please click here to request the current list.
