I met some wonderful people while I was there and my best friends at Padworth are still my best friends today and there is a lot to be said for living with other girls your age, in the same situation and being each other’s family. It wasn’t just a school, it was a home and in my mind,Padworth is what it is because of the people - the teachers and students, the catering staff, the drivers, just everybody who lived and worked there. I would heartily recommend Padworth to any student who wants to learn in an enthusiastic and encouraging environment that will challenge them and draw out the very best in them."

Xiao Qian made her mark at Padworth College where the Principal described her as “having gained in self-confidence as she continues to succeed both in the classroom and the exam room.”

Padworth opened up opportunities to further my understanding of the complexities of Mathematics and in the process of completing my A Levels, the theories and the controversial issues of Economics appealed to me as well. I especially enjoy the concept of evaluation and have been doing consistently well in this because it gives me the opportunity to contribute my own opinions and thoughts. I love interacting with people and at Padworth, I ran for the Student Council and was elected by the students. I tried my best to address any problems students may face and voice their concerns. Padworth College is a very suitable place for studying -we were always well taken care of and Padworth broadened my horizons to a large extent.”

Having achieved A grades for Mathematics, Physics and Accounting and a B for economics, there is no doubt for me that studying in the UK was the correct choice and I am now confident that I have the ability to cope with new challenges. My academic studies have been combined with a variety of other activities at the College including sports and charity work. During my first year at Padworth, I joined the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DOE) which is a most challenging and exciting activity. This programme has helped me to become a more creative and teamwork oriented person. The thing I liked most about Padworth was its friendly environment. We were not required to wear uniform, unlike at other boarding schools. All the staff and friends were so nice and warm which made me feel at home, even when I first arrived. My two years at Padworth were one of the most wonderful times for me - I met a lot of great people and I will never forget them.”
