Padworth College is a small co-educational international boarding school for students aged 14-19 offering an outstanding opportunity to study in the UK. Padworth offers individual attention in small classes underpinned with ongoing English Language support for all international students and exceptional pastoral care. A significant proportion of students come from overseas creating a vibrant international community; equally a
substantial number are British and many are day students.

Academic Programmes
GCSE Courses (Students aged 14-16)
A one or two-year programme leading to GCSE or IGCSE qualifications in up to 9 subjects. English Language support is provided for all international students as part of their course.
A Level Courses (Students aged 16-19)
Students choose 3, 4 or 5 subjects from the wide range available, English Language support is provided for all international students as part of their course.
University Access (Foundation in Business for students aged 17+)
A one year foundation course in Business for students who have completed their high school education. This qualification acts as an acceptable entrance qualification instead of A levels for a number of British universities including Aston and Royal Holloway.
International Study Centre (Students aged 13-17)
Our International Study Centre welcomes international students for Pre-GCSE, Pre-A Level and Pre-Foundation Courses for one, two or three terms starting in September, January or April. These English and Academic preparation courses are designed for both those who wish to begin learning or improve their English Language skills and those who need to improve their English before embarking on GCSE, A Level or University Access courses either at Padworth or at another boar

Academic Success
Outstanding academic results are consistently achieved – in the 2010 GCSE results, 88% of students achieved A* – C grades and in 2010 A level results, 90% achieved A* – C grades and 77% achieved A* – B grades. The majority of students go on to universities in the UK -our students have regularly won places at Oxford, Cambridge and other leading universities.
Boarding Life
The majority of students at Padworth are boarders and many are away from home for the first time. All are given a warm welcome and helped to integrate into boarding life by our caring team of resident House Staff. Boarders enjoy readily available educational, social and sporting facilities and the chance to enjoy all the opportunities of school life to the full. Boarding students come from all over the world creating a rich and culturally diverse student community.
Girls and boys are housed in separate boarding houses, each with their own resident house staff and are accommodated in comfortable single or shared bedrooms. There are kitchen facilities and sitting rooms with televisions where students can relax and socialise. All meals are taken in the College Dining Rooms and we c
ater for all tastes and diets.
Actvities and Facilities
After-school and weekend activities are organised both on and off the campus. We have an outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts incorporating a basketball court and a volleyball court. There are also table tennis tables for indoor entertainment. Off campus activities include horse riding, ice skating, bowling, trips to the cinema, theatre and regular weekly excursions to places of interest.
